In much the same way as most computer problems can be solved by switching your computer off and then on again, the first thing to do if your app won’t open is to switch your phone off and on again. If you are still having trouble, uninstall it from your phone and then install it again. For help uninstalling Hailo for your phone go here for Android and here for iPhone. If this still doesn’t resolve your problem please let us know and we’ll see what we can do to help.
If you’re having problems with login, first double check your email address is correct and it is the one you used during registration (this will be the one we send your email receipts to). If you are still unable to login, tap ‘Forgot Password’ on the login screen and enter your phone number (including international code E.G. +44 UK, +1 USA, +353 Ireland, +65 Singapore). We will text you a code you can use to reset your password by following the on-screen instructions.
We currently only allow you to be logged into Hailo on one device at a time. Please log out of any other devices you run Hailo on and try again.
If the app cannot determine your location, please make sure you have your Location Services turned on for Hailo. You will find this in the settings of your smartphone. Tip: Our app uses wifi to determine your location, as well as GPS. It’s not necessary to have wifi switched on, but if you do, we’ll be able to find your location much more accurately.
If you have an iPhone (or iPad) and your app has crashed or frozen, you can perform a ‘Force Quit’. This can be done by tapping twice on the home button to show all your open apps at the bottom of the screen. Touch and hold the Hailo app for a second. You should see all the open apps ‘wobble’ and display a cancel icon. Tap the cancel icon on the Hailo app to quit and then open the app again in the normal way. For Android go to Settings - Applications - Manage Applications. Then choose the Hailo app, tap Force Stop and then OK. You can then open the app again in the normal way.
